Bomb It: Bomber Man's Modern Version

Bomb It is an action game very similar to the classic game Bomber Man with a modern twist. Graphics can be toggled from bad, normal, and best to push the pace of game play.

The game's objective is pretty straightforward. You tactically place bombs to be able to corner your opponents and eliminate them. The game has more power ups compared to the original bomber man. However these power ups reset on each level leaving you no choice but to amass them at the start of each level. At the start of every level, you have three other opponents and in order to move on to the next level you must eradicate them. You can choose to proceed with the game with one or two players as well as the difficulty level. The game offers three (3) difficulty levels to choose from easy, normal, and hard. Bomb It runs twenty levels per game. In the easy level, your opponents are constrained to apply power ups unlike in the case of the normal and difficult levels.

For one player controls, press the directional arrow keys to move your character up, down, left, and right. Press the space button to place a bomb. For two player controls, Player one moves the character by pressing w to move up, a to move left, d to move right and s to move down and space to place bomb. Player two moves the character by pressing the directional arrow keys and sets a bomb by pressing the enter button. To pause and resume the game, hit the key P. To select from four characters, press the left and right arrow keys to move the cursor and press space to confirm. You have three lives on the beginning of every game.

Bomb It consists of twelve different kinds of power ups that you can acquire throughout the game. They usually become available once objects are destroyed. Life +1 enhances the number of your life span by one. Walk faster increases the movement of your character and acquiring more of these stacks up and greatly increases your pace. Bigger explosion expands the explosion range of your bomb by one block and also gets larger by scope when acquiring more of it. Protection shield makes you untouchable from any explosion but is only good for one explosion. Throw grenade over walls makes you throw two grenades over a block one at a time. Place mine bombs allows you to set bombs which blows up when an opponent steps on these or a bomb explodes near it killing your opponent instantly. Shoots rocket makes you fire two rockets one after another on the direction you are facing. Confuse enemy baffles your opponent when they make contact with it but vanishes in a short period of time upon using it. Push bomb enables you to move a bomb further away from your character. Bomb +1 allows you to set more bombs simultaneously and can also stack up. Freezes the enemy allows you shoot a line of ice which halts your enemy for a couple of seconds. Shoot fire enables you to fire flames to nail down your enemies.

Nailing down an opponent yields 1000 points, getting rid of objects and getting power ups increases your destruction points. Left over time also increases your total score. For successfully winning a round, you earn 1000 points. Over all, Bomb It is a simple bombing game which is a fun time waster.
